College is Useful
What do you imagine about “Shift Happens”? Some people think it is rotation in work. Today it means that many changes are occurring around us rapidly. In “Shift Happens” Karl Fisch mentions that our future job probably does not exist. Moreover, 50% of our learning this year will go out of date in two year’s time. So he argues that college education maybe useless. But I disagree with his opinion, and I’ m going to produce my reasons about disagreeing with it.
First, I think the thing I learned in college will not be useless even if it goes out of date. If I learn something in college and even if it goes out of date, I can use it in a different way. I can use it in order to explain the different fact or connect the fact. For example, in computer the vacuum tube technology is now out of date, but the knowledge of it is now used in recently transistor. Meiland argues that we can retain well-supported beliefs. So we can continually remember the fact that we learn and well support in college. Therefore, knowledge we learned in college is useful for our life.
My second reason about disagreement is that the college is the place that we learn how to think. For example, if we learn the way of thinking, we can use that way on our future. The way of thinking will not go out of date, but it is useful for us to do something. Meiland mentions that in college students should treat the theory carefully. It means we must examine the theory in order to support the theory. When we examine the theory we need to use the way of thinking. We should have the certain way of thinking to judge whether that is correct or not. So I think the college is the place we learn how to think.
Of course some people think that people can learn anything without college education. It maybe true that we can learn anything with no help from college education, and it is certain that there were or are many great people who didn’t go to college. But we can get information more easily in college than in out of college. And we can use the technique how to think after graduation from college. So college education gives us a lot of benefit. Therefore, I think college education is good for not only learn solution, bad also getting opportunities to learn.
As a conclusion, college education is useful for us the knowledge we learn in college can be used in several ways, the college is the place that we learn how to think and we can use this after graduation, and college education gives us much information. So as a student, we should do our best to acquire the skills: how to think, and treatment theory and so on. We should not forget absolutely that college work is useful but it depends on our effort.

So I can communicate with them or fight together. And It has its own economy, so I feel reality as if it is real. Though there are some of the mad people who can’t distinguish the game’s virtual reality from the real we live, other of people has sure schedules. Now, I am very interested in the war that the offences deprive the castle. The union I belong to has one castle, so I must defend the castle against the offences. In order to retain it, we always think the strategy very much. Sometime we attack offences on both sides, or we sometime escape from the battlefield. There are many tactics to make us advantageous or disadvantageous. And it is very important for us to connect our heart and to make good teamwork. If we can organize it well, we will win the war. In college I have less time than in high school, but I like this game and I will continue this game.

Reaction to Meiland's "Why Reasons Matter"
Summary
In "Why Reasons Matter", Meiland argues that beliefs must have good reasons. Meiland explained five reasons why beliefs must have good reasons. First, He mentioned that we believe a belief that is supported by good reasons. And we should not permit this justification of the search for good reasons to undo. Second, beliefs that have good reasons help us to achieve our goals or to get along in the world. Third, basing beliefs on good reasons helps to make us the persons that we want to become and to produce the comfortable society. This justification is called social justification. Fourth, we hold true beliefs long. If a belief has no reason, we'll discard it easily. But, we'll continue to hold a belief if it has good reasons. Finally, examination of reasons and arguments for beliefs helps us to understand that beliefs. So we should investigate reasons for our beliefs to understand them well. Therefore, Meiland argues that beliefs must have good reasons.
Discussion
In "Why Reasons Matter", Meiland argues that beliefs must have good reasons. I focus on that we believe a belief that is supported by good reasons. I think it is important in three reasons. First, I never believe without the explained evidence or watching it. For example, I never believe ghost because I have never seen it, or never believe there is unknown intelligence creature in the space because there is no evidence about them. Second, I think a belief without good reason has no value. We can't use such a belief if we can't judge whether that belief is true or not. For example, we can use nuclear energy because we know the mechanism and reasons about why we can get the energy from uranium. But we can’t use time machines because we have not found the mechanism about it. Third, the college work asks us to examine reasons to support beliefs. We must find reasons to support beliefs in order to explain beliefs to people. If we find new theory and we are not able to explain the reasons or evidence about the theory, nobody believes the theory. Therefore, I agree Meiland's argument that we believe a belief that is supported by good reasons. We must examine the reasons or evidence about beliefs to make people believe beliefs.

Reaction to Meiland’s “New Types of Intellectual Work”
Summary
Meiland says the necessity of the new types of intellectual work in college. He explained the reason about the requirement with comparing the differences between the high school work and the college work. First, he mentioned that there are a difference between the high school activities and the college activities. In high school the student’s activity is to understand the material. In college student’s activity is to discuss and examine the basis of current beliefs. Second, he mentioned the distinction between a descriptive statement and a normative statement. A descriptive statement tells how things in fact are. A normative statement tells how things should be. He said that the more advanced work is what ought to be going on in college. Third, he mentioned the difference between treatment of theory in high school and in college. In high school the theory is treated as unchangeable fact. But in college students must examine the evidence in order to support the theory, or seek and examine the alternative theories in order to see which theory is better or should be believed. Therefore, Meiland thought the students in college must be acquire the new types of intellectual work.
Discussion
Meiland said the necessity of the new types of intellectual work in college. There are one of his point I focused on. That is the treatment of theory in college. I think it is important for the students to study more effectively. I have three reasons to explain how important that is. First, in college we may have a question that has no answer. To prove the theory, we must examine the theory if it is correct or not. Second, we must acquire the ability to think critically. When we get some information in high school, we received that easily. But, in college, we must examine that information if it is correct, which idea or data suppose it, or how credible it is in order to learn deeply. Third, the reason is that we are now one of college students. In high school we need only the answer, but in college we are required the way how we answer the question. Therefore, I think the treatment of theory in college is important for the students. To be a good college student and a good scientist, I’ll try to treat the theory more carefully.

My Meaningful Experiences
One of my meaningful experiences that has educated me out of school was the participation in a street fund-raising for Philippine children who can’t receive sufficient education or food. I learnt three particularly important things from that participation. First, I learned that there are many poor children all over the world. I thought we must do something for them, and what we can do. Second, I learned that I can help people even if I am alone. We can do anything alone if we want to. So, I decided not to give up anything even if I am the only person. Third, I learned that the thing never change if we do something. If we learn something, and do nothing, we can get neither good experiences nor good effects. We must do something in order to change something. Therefore, I think this experience is meaningful for me.
